Research And Development Engineer - Clean Hydrogen
My client is an early-stage startup developing a novel, highly cost-efficient electrolyzer technology. They are seeking talented engineers and scientists to join at the ground floor and help scale the technology. Key Responsibilities: Ensure and enhance safety protocols. Design, prioritize, and execute electrochemical experiments independently. Analyze and communicate data to both technical and non-technical teams. Design, assemble, and operate electrochemical and non-electrochemical test equipment, including electrolyzer hardware. Support technical facility operations and maintenance across the process chain. Contribute to IP development for low-cost green hydrogen production. Qualifications: Team experience in hazardous chemical and electrical environments. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. 1-2 years of electrochemical experience (preferably with electrolyzers, fuel cells, or similar devices). Proficiency with fluid handling systems, process piping, and control systems. Familiarity with data analysis, statistical techniques, and visualization (Excel, Python, MATLAB, R). Preferred Qualifications: 3-4 years of electrochemical experience and/or an advanced degree. Startup or fast-paced R&D experience. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving engineering needs. Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrochemical and non-electrochemical systems. Hands-on experience with electrolyzer or fuel cell stack operations. Familiarity with CAD, shop tools, and power tools. Seniority level:
