A family office in San Francisco is looking to add a Tax Manager to the team. Responsibilities:
Manage the tax compliance of the family, funds and management companies. Handle annual Partnership Tax Returns and Schedule K-1 filings for all Funds, SPVs, GP entities, and Management Co. Ensure compliance with international tax law. Review and track investors' tax status. Plan the yearly tax calendar. Prepare individual income tax returns for managing partners and the quarterly estimates. Track external tax advisors' progress and general tax compliance to ensure accurate and timely filings. Track GP Carried interest and Tax Basis in Funds. Assist in IRS/state tax inquiries. Maintain tax books and records for Funds, GP entities, Management Company, and SPVs. Prepare tax memos to assist in annual audits. Compute General Partner and Limited Partner tax allocations and capital account balances. Handle periodic accounting and reporting at the GP and Managing Partner levels. Assist as needed with investor and GP entities tax distribution. Perform projects as requested. Requirements:
BS Degree in Accounting. Knowledge and experience with investment partnership accounting and tax compliance; private equity or venture capital experience preferred. CPA Preferred. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Foreign tax knowledge a plus. Proficiency with Excel and various other software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and technical abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information.
