Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of ORV Quality, this role is responsible for executing the Polaris Quality Policy, Plant Quality Plan and Quality Operating System in support of the Polaris Production System for the assigned plant location. In addition, the ORV Quality Manager closely partners with Safety, Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain throughout the Polaris Product Development Process to deliver product per the customers expectation. The Quality Manager should exhibit a managerial style which promotes the culture of Quality through openness, transparency, teamwork problem solving ownership/accountability and customer centric data driven decision-making.

Responsibilities Lead the plant Quality organization. Set the direction for the facility by fostering a culture of non-negotiable safety and quality. Lead the standardization of the quality processes and procedures related to Operations, utilizing existing Polaris and industry standards (I DECIDE, EPIC, CAPA, APQP, etc.). Collaborate with both local and sister location Plant Directors and Quality leaders to drive standardization and advance the quality culture. Define, deploy, maintain and audit the quality management system and quality programs per internal and external expectations. Embed lessons learned back into DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and control plans. Ensure error proofing is executed and effective to close corrective action reports. Ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed thoroughly and on time. Assess solution effectiveness and report resolution to executive team. Develop quality deliverables, scorecard and audit specifics for the plant. Ensure requirements are met for safety and compliance. Responsible for delivering product quality as a competitive point of differentiation that reinforces the Polaris brand(s) market position and enables future business growth Own clean build and rolling first pass yield metrics. Drive ownership to the responsible parties and deploy quality team resources to help tackle problems. Identify and address systemic root causes and errors. Develop the quality automation roadmap to remove manual inspections and increase overall inspection fidelity. Act as the point person for major plant rework/field issues; coordinate cross functionally to address on time and on budget. Develop plans and interact cross-functionally to ensure product safety considerations are being appropriately addressed in the design & manufacturing of products. Provide business unit direction on decisions regarding product safety and quality. Own and deliver monthly and quarterly Quality Management Review (QMR) to senior leadership. Enable a Gemba culture that understands opportunities and works to solve them quickly. Train personnel in structured problem-solving methods and tools, issue reporting and escalation. Enforce the use of root cause standard work. Own the budget, organizational strategy and employee development for the Quality team. Recognize exemplary employee focus on Quality through star awards. Experience & Skills

10+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality and/or engineering environment. ASQ, Lean & Six Sigma certifications a plus. Strong leadership ability to foster, implement and align Quality and Lean principles/tools. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially communications (oral and written); demonstrated ability to influence the behavior of peers and others outside the direct org. Creative and innovative self-starter; demonstrated ability to initiate, lead and sustain change. Ability to lead cross functional teams and drive CAPA and root cause resolution. Strong data-driven decision-making and project management skills required. Excellent Microsoft Office and Minitab skills. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Operations or related field required; advanced degree preferred. Competencies

Working Conditions

Standard manufacturing/plant environment, with a strong plant-floor presence. Ability and willingness to travel up to 20 percent of time - travel can fluctuate according to business need.
