Description:

Branham High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated coach to lead the Competitive Sport Cheer program. The head coach will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including team formation, practice and competition planning, and fostering a positive and supportive team culture. The ideal candidate will have experience in competitive cheerleading, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting both athletic and personal growth for all student-athletes.

Job Summary:

The Competitive Sport Cheer Coach will oversee the development and management of the cheerleading program, ensuring student-athletes excel in both performance and sportsmanship. The coach will organize and lead practices, develop routines, choreograph performances, and mentor athletes throughout the competitive season. The coach will collaborate with school administration, athletic department, and other coaches to ensure program success and create a positive representation of the school.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience coaching or competing in competitive cheerleading is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cheerleading fundamentals, routines, stunts, and choreography.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification and CIF coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, as well as attend competitions and events.
• Compliance with district employment requirements, including background check and TB clearance.

Working Conditions:

• Seasonal coaching position with required practices, games, competitions, and travel.
• Evening and weekend work required.
• Stipend compensation based on district coaching pay scale.
• Collaboration with school administration, athletic department, and other teams.
• Adherence to all school and district policies, as well as CIF-CCS regulations.
