Executive Director Pay Range
$75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Purpose:
The Executive Director is the chief executive and administrative officer of the organization. The Executive Director ensures an appropriate vision for the organization, leads its activities, and manages resources to accomplish its goals. Reports to:
Chamber Board of Directors. Summary
Responsible for overall operations and management, including daily office operations, membership development and retention, involvement in local and regional initiatives, press and media relations, coordination and management of fundraising events, and volunteer programs. Engages in strategic planning and troubleshooting, working in conjunction with the Board of Directors. Examples of Duties
The duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Officer Responsibilities:
Serves as clerk for the Board of Directors, including preparing agenda for meetings, recording Board minutes, keeping records, and carrying out plans and programs of the Board in accordance with established policies. Administrative Management:
Manages Chamber’s administrative activities in conjunction with the Executive Committee, including Board nominations, budgets, and overall chamber operations. Membership Development:
Maintains active Chamber membership with the assistance of the Board; serves as the primary Chamber membership liaison with major employers and business leaders. Work Hub Operations:
Manage and oversee the Work Hub on Union, including coordination of the work hub schedule for members, marketing, managing all operational needs of Work Hub. Financial Management:
Works with Executive Committee to develop annual budgets and sales goals; monitors the Chamber’s financial condition on a daily and monthly basis. Long-Range Planning:
Identifies Chamber and community needs; develops the organization’s annual work plan in conjunction with the Board. Staff and Volunteer Supervision:
Recruits and hires all staff personnel; establishes terms of employment within budget framework. Facilities Management:
Oversees location, design, and maintenance of the Chamber’s headquarters. Communications, Marketing and PR:
Markets the Chamber to the community and to its membership; oversees all formal communications. Community Liaison:
Maintains personal contacts with community leaders to stay informed about business and civic matters. Other Duties:

Ability to work independently and make sound judgments and decisions. Excellent time management skills, including ability to adhere to deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Proven planning and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. Knowledge of computer and social media skills, including MS Office Suite, Quickbooks, Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Knowledge of media communications. Successful business development, marketing and promotional skills. Dynamic and forward-thinking attitude.
