Trust Administration, Conservatorship & Probate Contract Paralegal We are a boutique law firm that is on track for significant growth and in need of an experienced Contract Paralegal who can provide compassionate and legal services in the areas of Trust Administrations, First Party Special Needs Planning, Conservatorships, and/or Probate. This is a role for a remote Contract Paralegal who has experience in any of the following and meets the qualifications set forth below. Compensation:
$25 - $40 hourly, DOE Responsibilities: Preparing a Fiduciary’s Report and Account Handling trust administration – decedent’s estate matters, including, but not limited to preparing mandatory notices and deeds Drafting Petitions and pleadings Filing documents with the Court, including e-filing Recording deeds via Simplifile and directly with County Recorder Offices Preparing Judicial Council Forms Communications with clients and ancillary individuals to obtain information and documents and provide status updates Corresponding with the Court, including clerks of the Court and probate examiners Checking Probate notes and preparing Supplements for the purpose of responding to Probate notes Understanding and knowledge of the California Rules of Court and Local Court Rules for Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County Experience with preparing and filing Conservatorship and Probate Petitions Qualifications: Paralegal certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code 6450 Strong computer skills and extensive experience using MS Office Suite, timekeeping, and remote video software such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Character traits: compassion, intelligence, and grit Experience in Trust Administrations-Decedent’s Estates, First Party Special Needs Planning, Conservatorships, and/or Probate About Us: We are a growing Trust, Estates, and Special Needs law firm based in Newport Beach, CA.
