Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop Structural designs, analysis, and drawings
Coordinate with other design disciplines and owners/developers
Manage communications with clients and design partners
Organize Structural construction support activities
Coach junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus
Minimum of three years of experience in Structural Engineering design, with up to six years
California State Professional Engineer (PE) license. Virginia State Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus
Proficiency in Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete, Unistrut, Building Design, Building Retrofits, Building Analysis, Equipment Anchorage, Utilities Bracing and Wind Design. Working knowledge of Timber Design, Masonry Design, Cold-Formed Steel Design, Finite Elements and Seismic Design
Proficiency in industry software, namely RISA-3D, Bluebeam and Office/Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of ETABS, SAP or RAM
Proficiency in buildings codes, namely ACI 318, AISC 360, ASCE 7 and IBC. Working knowledge of AISC 341 and NDS
Experience in managing engineering workflows and tasks
Proficiency in English. Other languages are a plus
Valid US Driver’s License in good standing
Ability to travel to meetings and to job sites within the United States
