Helpdesk Support Specialist

to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance. This position will provide technology related support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. The position is also responsible for assisting with the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies and applications. This role will report to the Senior Director of Network services and be based out of our Greenwich, CT Headquarters. Responsibilities: Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner. Configure, support and perform routine maintenance of hardware and software for desktops (PC/Laptop). Troubleshoot PC and printer problems. Provide basic LAN/WAN/VPN support. Install and upgrade software. Build and deploy PCs and Laptops. Record all client inquiries, from initial call to incident resolution. Coordinate entire support incident for the client, ensuring top-notch service. Maintain records of hardware, software and network inventory. Participate in rotating on call rotation. Additional responsibilities as needed. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and/or related courses/certifications required. Specialist in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft IT Support Certification a plus. Proficient in O/S and hardware support (both Windows and MAC IOS), remote connectivity experience and mobile device management a plus. Working experience with Citrix applications a plus. Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills. Practical knowledge in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, audio/visual equipment and business applications.
