About the Role:
Our client, a leading fintech company at the forefront of financial innovation, is seeking a
Senior Cyber Security Engineer
to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled security professional to work with cutting-edge technologies and protect critical financial systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for cloud and on-premise environments. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization. Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents in real-time, conducting forensic analysis when necessary. Lead the development and implementation of identity and access management (IAM) strategies. Ensure compliance with financial industry security standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001. Collaborate with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Manage and optimize security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions. Provide security awareness training and mentorship to team members and stakeholders. Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field. Minimum of
5+ years
of experience in cyber security engineering, preferably within the fintech or financial services sector. Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, CIS, and ISO 27001. Hands-on experience with security tools, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms. Expertise in encryption protocols, authentication mechanisms, and network security. Experience with secure coding practices and security testing methodologies. Solid understanding of incident response, threat hunting, and digital forensics. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or AWS Security Specialty are highly preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in fintech security challenges, including payment security and fraud prevention. Familiarity with blockchain security and cryptographic technologies. Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security integrations. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) Seniority level
