This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, Capitol Building, Assistant Superintendent, Tenant Services and Facility Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, HVAC-R Section. The incumbent performs progressively more complex assignments on electronic equipment and control systems frequently solving multi-dimensional problems while inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining and adjusting heating and cooling systems.

You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position. Ability to perform the work of an HVAC Electronics Mechanic (DDC) without more than normal supervision. WG-11:

Ability to diagnose and make repairs, identify, troubleshoot and repair HVAC environment systems, controls and devices (valves, actuators, dampers, etc.); install, overhaul repairs and adjust a variety of electronic components; perform a range of electronic work related to testing, aligning and calibration of multiple electronic systems with limited supervision. WG-12:

Independently utilizes knowledge for advanced troubleshooting and repair of digital control programming; installation, repairing testing, overhauling and modification of multiple HVAC electronic systems, utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of electronic principles and practices. NOTE:
