Days/Hours: 190 Days / 7.5 Hours per day
Certified Intervention Support Specialist (MTSS coach) MTSS Team Member as Team Leader of the MS Program Supporting/monitoring teacher accountability and fidelity to program initiatives Support teachers' classroom management development & implementation of Responsibility-Centered Discipline/Give 'Em 5 processes Monitor MS student academic progress weekly and report data to Admin & Guidance Participate in Student Reviews as students become eligible to level up and out of the program Respond to RR discipline calls and work with Student interventionists to support students through the solutions process Proactively assist Home School Intervention Teams before students earn referrals to PGO. Provide wrap-around services for MS students and support their successful transition back at the home school (systematic monitoring visits). Identify a home school sponsor for all MS students. Schedule and facilitate contacts between home school sponsors and PGO students. Lead PD/PLC that supports teachers' success with all MS students Liaison between MS teachers and students; Build strong rapport and trust with both groups Support Director's efforts to move the MS program forward based on Best Practices in Alternative Education. Teach MS FOCUS class (Be Good People Curriculum) & LIFE support class. Offer core class support to all MS students based on weekly teacher feedback and identified student needs. Monitor attendance, academic, and behavior trends for all MS students Oversee any MS students placed on temporary virtual due to discipline Provide academic support to students as needed throughout the school year through assigned Support class periods or through intermittent visits to their core class periods. Organize and implement a weekly remediation program that provides students earning a failing grade in a core content course the opportunity for remediation as defined by SDPC Remediation Policy. Participate in conferences with PGO students to help provide input on their progress on campus as well as meet the needs of parents related to assisting and helping. Qualifications
Teacher certification required: It is recommended that the at-risk facilitator has experience working with at-risk students, preferably at the middle level. The Middle-Level At-Risk Facilitator must have either received or be willing to receive CPI training
