Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Director

General Accountabilities:
The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Director is responsible for supervising and managing accounting processes, including the preparation and review of quarterly/annual financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings (Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.). This role encompasses overseeing the cash flow statement, ensuring proper classification of transactions, and addressing complex accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. The Director will collaborate with all levels across subsidiaries and departments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, reporting requirements, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations.
Specific Responsibilities:
50% Corporate Accounting:
Review and ensure the accuracy of the cash flow statement, providing proper support and classification in accordance with accounting principles. Address questions related to the cash flow statement and coordinate responses with treasury. Evaluate the need for new or revised controls and procedures and recommend changes to management. Oversee equity compensation, including RSAs, RSUs, and ESOs. 25% Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Assist in the review of quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/K. Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues. Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements. Review financial information for Investor Relations documents. 25% Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report:
Project manage the Sustainability report, overseeing data gathering and deliverable calendar. Research potential new disclosures or metrics based on materiality. Manage communications for the ESG Steering Committee, including presentations and talking points. Research and analyze new ESG rating requirements to prioritize committee objectives. Perform technical accounting research and document conclusions on complex accounting issues. Assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements. Coordinate and manage purchase price allocations with internal M&A group and external valuation service providers. Collaborate with accounting, internal counsel, and other departments. Coordinate and manage audit requests with internal and external auditors. Assist with compliance and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting. Execute on ad hoc reporting and projects as requested. Knowledge/Skills:
