Job Quick Facts: * Specialty: Pediatric Hospitalist * Job Type: Locum Tenens * Facility Location: Glen Burnie, MD * Service Setting: Inpatient * Reason For Coverage: Supplemental * Coverage Period: Asap - Ongoing * Coverage Type: Clinical only * Shift Schedule:7a-7p OR 7p-7a (12-hour shift) - 3 shifts per week including weekends and nights - No call * Physicians in Practice: 2 * Support Staff: 2 NP/PAs * Specialty Backup: - Anesthesia,Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Catheterization Lab,General Surgery, Laboratory, Neuro-Surgery, OR Response Time, Orthopedic Surgery,Radiology, & Vascular Surgery * Duties: Attend deliveries, Neonatal resuscitation, Intubation, possibility for Arterial puncture, Lumbar puncture, Umbilical vein, catheterization, Pediatric resuscitation * Procedures: - Newborn & Pediatric: Non-Invasive Vent Management, Vent Management, Acute, Chronic, Intubation (ETT/NT) - UVC, UAC, Lumbar puncture, Thoracentesis, Chest Tube insertion, needle Pneumothorax, Decompression - X-ray & EKG Interpretation * Beds in the Dept: - 10 inpt peds - 10 special care nursery - 4 Peds ED - 20 mother baby unit * Nursery Level: II * EMR: Epic * Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: * MD License * BC/BE * NRP/PALS * Local candidates
