The Contra Costa County Office of Education is a unique agency. One of 58 counties in the state of California, Contra Costa County has the 11th largest public school student population in the state. Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the School Nurse serves as a member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team serving the needs of students and their families regarding medical and health related issues; provides assessment, consultation and/or treatment related to health issues and other identified developmental needs determined through the IEP process; and provides consultation and training to staff and parents.
