Role Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will implement personalized physical therapy programs focused on assessment, treatment, planning, execution, education, and ongoing communication with patients and their families, aiming to achieve their functional goals. Collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals is essential for fostering a positive treatment environment. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge and skills to address physical and developmental needs of diverse age groups. Calm and effective decision-making ability in emergency situations. Graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy program. Minimum of one year experience as a physical therapy aide. Current state license from the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Provide compassionate patient care and evaluate functional needs to optimize outcomes. Develop and modify care plans based on thorough assessments, involving family participation when appropriate. Conduct therapy within established standards of practice. Guide support staff in achieving patient goals. Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure cohesive patient care. Adhere to safety, environmental, and infection control protocols. Document therapy interventions, progress notes, and maintain accurate records. Participate in professional development activities to enhance personal and team growth. Foster community awareness of physical therapy services. Exhibit proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to fulfill job responsibilities. Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills in clinical settings. Commit to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with resident rights and safety procedures.
