Grant Writer
Stevens Institute of Technology seeks a highly skilled and experienced Grant Writer to join our Corporate and Foundation Relations team in the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement. Working in concert with the Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, the successful candidate will play a vital role in securing funding from corporate and foundation sources to support Stevens' innovative programs and research initiatives. This position will be entirely remote.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting:
Identify and research potential funding opportunities from corporations and foundations that align with the institution's strategic priorities and objectives. Strategizing:
Develop and implement effective strategies to approach and secure funding from prospective donors, collaborating with program directors and principal investigators. Collaboration:
Work closely with program directors, principal investigators, and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information, ensuring proposals align with organizational goals and donor expectations. Proposal Development:
Write, edit, and prepare high-quality grant proposals, including research narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation. Submission:
Manage the submission process of grant proposals, ensuring all deadlines and donor requirements are met. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding from corporate and foundation sources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Requirements A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree will be viewed favorably. This position is fixed term and is part-time with a maximum of 10 hours per week. Department Corporate and Foundation Relations
