The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, handling a broad range of complex cases from intake through to trial or settlement. Duties: Engage in client communication, maintaining strong relationships, and understanding case specifics. Conduct thorough legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions in support of case development. Lead mediations and negotiations to drive favorable settlements. Develop trial strategies and represent clients in court, including taking cases to jury trial. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including rules of evidence and civil procedure. Collaborate with remote and local support staff to efficiently manage case workload. Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation. Proven record of 1st chair jury trial experience. Strong knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules. Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar. Experience in drafting and responding to legal motions. Ability to handle cases independently, from intake to resolution. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the Alabama State Bar. Certifications: Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama. Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Strong negotiation and mediation skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
