Systems Maintenance Duties
1. System Maintenance Performance
a) Configure user dashboards and settings in M1 to optimize user setups.
b) Troubleshoot technical issues affecting system performance minimizing down time.
c) Perform routine maintenance and tuning of SQL database.
d) Manage data and control accuracy.
e) Oversee and complete software updates, upgrades and installs.
2. Managing the ACE Help Desk
a) Monitor and prioritize requests from the ACE Help Desk email
b) Help ACE users with computer, printer and phone questions and issues.
c) Manage our IT Support Company - which includes maintaining computers, remote back-up, user problems etc.
d) Solve problems, errors and mistakes users encounter.
3. M1 and Kofax
a) Troubleshoot and fix transaction errors.
b) Manage user settings in M1 - examples are user permissions, grid settings/customization, answering process questions, etc.
c) Manage reports and setup for users.
d) Manage the change and report request list.
e) Document all ACE changes to M1.
f) Manage and maintain user security in network & database.
4. Hardware and Software
a) Manage hardware and software updates
b) Manage computer transitions - user moves, new users, terminated users.
c) Ensure new users are setup correctly and have all necessary tools before they start.
Development Support Duties
1. Program M1 & Kofax, to advance our software
a) Develop M1 programs through .NET and SQL to efficiently manage production and order management.
b) Maintain and develop M1 grids to make accessing information fast, simple and intuitive.
c) Develop and maintain M1 reporting tools - ABR/AFR, Crystal Reports, Alerts & Automation.
d) Attend conferences and user group meetings to further knowledge of M1 and Kofax.
e) Update M1 from user feedback to improve functions.
2. Develop M1 user skill
a) Develop and maintain customized M1 training documents by position.
b) Train new employees on M1 usage. New hire
c) Ensure that all users understand the capabilities and the functions of M1.
d) Host Best Practice sessions to ensure all users are familiar with M1 functions.
Skills Required:
Proficiency with ERP Systems & SQL language for querying, updating, and managing database. Experience with Eci M1 preferred. Configuring/managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Troubleshooting network issues and performing network performance tuning. Implementing network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and malware. Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud networking concepts. Experience with software deployment tools and techniques for installing, updating, and configuring software applications across the organization's network. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in software development such as VBScript, C#.
Qualifications: • 5 years IT/Programming experience • Bachelor of Science Degree a plus - Information Technologies, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Database Management • Good analytical skills • Effective communicator • Works well with people • Project Management skills a plus
