General Position Summary:
Operate various vacuum coating systems daily. Be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and the delivery of quality coatings. Will be required to assemble and disassemble vacuum systems to a high standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all coating tools are kept fully functional and ready to always run
- Use software controls to run tools
- Get devices ready and loaded on racks for deposition
- Calculate the dimer load vs the surface area of the entire run
- Follow pre-determined recipes
- Safely operate multiple different coating systems
- Measure the glass slides to determine what the thickness on each rack was and record it on the log sheet
- Remove devices from deposition racks and place them on racks for de-masking
- Record the data from the run on the travelers for each device
- Preventative maintenance schedules are followed
- Help production with disassembly, mask, de-mask and reassembly of devices
- Assist other departments if help is required
- Observe safe handling methods for handling electronic assemblies (ESD protection, PPE adherence)
- Ability to work multiple shifts
Required Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years related experience running industrial vacuum tools
- Basic Understanding of how a vacuum system works.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS programs
- Mechanical assembly and disassembly experience
- Attention to detail
- Willing learner
- Able to work with minimal supervision
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Understanding of how CVD systems work.
- Knowledge of and ability to use quality systems for troubleshooting issues, (RCA, 8D, Ishikawa Diagrams,5 Why)
- Ability to documents processes and procedures to high level
- Experience with Filmetrics and other measurement systems
