Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,690 from grades TK-8. There are 15 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. Schools range from the highest student enrollment (730) to the lowest student enrollment (269). Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Annually, the LCAP and SPSA's are updated with our students, staff and various community groups in keeping with our core values, the vision, and the annual goals.
The District is located in the southeastern corner of San Jose, California bounded by Capitol Expressway to the north, Canoas Creek to the west, Bernal Road to the south and the foothills to the east.

SELECTION Applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Department. Applicants, who appear to be qualified and/or meet the minimum requirements, will be called for an exam and then invited to appear for an interview.
FINGERPRINTS All newly hired employees shall be fingerprinted at the applicant's expense. No employee shall be allowed to work or be paid unless fingerprints have been cleared through the Department of Justice and the Human Resources Department.
TUBERCULOSIS EXAMINATION Newly hired classified employees are required to submit evidence of either a skin or Chest X-ray report of being free of tuberculosis, at applicants own expense. Current employees must submit evidence every four (4) years ) at District's expense.
