Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, operate a school bus to transport
students to and from school sites and assume responsibility for their safety while passengers in the school bus; ensure the safety of all passengers, including special education students while operating the assigned bus; ensure the assigned bus is always in a safe operating condition.
Drivers may be assigned to drive wheelchairs or ambulatory buses. Employees in this
classification may frequently work nontraditional workweeks, workdays, work hours, and/or holidays.

Must hold a valid California Driver License
DMV issued California School Bus Certificate preferred
Work schedule: 182 workdays a year with hours being determined by route bidding
The Governing Board is determined to provide a safe, positive environment where all district employees are assured of full and equal employment access and opportunities, protection from harassment and intimidation, and freedom from any fear of reprisal or retribution for asserting their employment rights in accordance with law.
