Mechanical Engineer
Onsite, Metro Detroit or Metro Lansing Michigan area

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in mining, lime, cement aggregates, or OEM of this equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering skills and the ability to interact effectively in a corporate environment.
Must Haves / Mandatory:
- 10+ years of experience in mining, lime, cement aggregates, or OEM of this equipment.
- Strong mechanical engineering skills.
- Ability to design or troubleshoot systems using mechanical equipment.
- Understanding of various codes and regulations such as NFPA, MSHA, CEMA, AISC, OSHA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and design/modelling software like AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, or Revit.
Nice to Have / Preferred:
- Electrical and Civil engineering cross-training.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Design or troubleshoot systems using mechanical equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gearboxes, fans, blowers, and pumps.
- Experience with rotary or vertical lime kilns, mills, crushers, screens, coolers, dust collectors, silos, and other lime and stone production equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proficiency with Microsoft Office software and design/modelling software.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Operations/Process/Project Management Teams in developing Capex Projects through Scope, Estimations, Specifications, Control Narratives, and Conceptual Design.
- Review and approve work of outside engineering consultants including flow diagrams, general arrangement drawings, specifications, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, as-built drawings, and manuals.
