As a
Sr. Propulsion Component Engineer , you will own all aspects of spacecraft component design from concept to product realization, while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design. Responsibilities
Design propulsion system valves and actuators Own all aspects of component design from concept to product realization Generate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis as required Work with the team and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assemblies Conduct rigorous component design and qualification testing Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field 5+ years of demonstrated experience in valve or component design Hands-on experience working with fluid, electrical and mechanical systems Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software with ability to learn new tools Demonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware Skills and Experience
Experience designing and operating high reliability, high performance hardware Experience with on-orbit propulsion components Experience in a startup or agile development environment Strong project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts across multi-disciplinary teams Additional Requirements:
Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed *Job Title (Senior, Staff, Principal, etc.) upon hire will be dependent on level or experience and skills. Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the
form of stock options , and access to
medical, vision & dental coverage
as well as
access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
