We are looking for an RF Engineer proficient in designing, testing, and troubleshooting microelectronic circuits and RF systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional quantum teams to integrate hardware and software components, particularly in projects involving RF control and coplanar waveguide development in RF resonant cavities, which involves quantum readout . This role is ideal for those who have a solid understanding of RF principles and a passion for hands-on experimentation and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Circuit Design & Testing:

Design, simulate, and test RF and microelectronic circuits. Capable of using some design software programs such as KiCad, Eagle, Altium.

Develop and execute test plans for evaluating circuit performance, including signal integrity, noise, and interference analysis.

RF System Development:

  • Contribute to the design and development of RF resonant cavities and associated waveguide systems. Use software such as Ansys HFSS to simulate high-frequency RF circuits.
  • Collaborate on integrating RF components into larger system architectures.

Hardware-Software Integration:

  • Work closely with software and FPGA teams to ensure seamless integration of interface electronics.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware-software interactions, ensuring optimal system performance.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research and development initiatives.
  • Document designs, test procedures, and results for internal review and regulatory compliance.
  • Present findings and updates clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.

Education:

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engi neering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a closely relat

ed field.

Equivalent relevant industry experience will be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Strong background in designing and testing microelectronic circuits, especially for RF applications.
  • Solid understanding of RF principles, including the development and use of waveguides in RF resonant cavities.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration, including interface electronics and FPGA-based systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C# and C/C++.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
