Emergency Room FT Physician - DIMC| Marion, IL

Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our growing team. Prior Emergency Medicine experience and/or fellowship training is required. This opportunity is based at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center (DIMC) in Marion, IL, which serves as the central hub for Deaconess in Southern Illinois.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: Full-time status includes 12 shifts per month (12-hour shifts).
• Various day, evening, and night shifts available, with dedicated Nocturnists at all campuses.
• Dedicated Hospitalist service for admissions and robust subspecialty support at each location.
• Integrated Epic EMR system across all clinics and hospitals.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive compensation with an average annual salary of $491K, plus potential bonuses.
• Sign-on bonus up to $50K (when available).
• Student loan assistance up to $75K or residency stipend (eligibility varies).

Practice Details:

• 7 employed physicians in the Emergency Medicine group.
• Primary location: Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion, IL.
• 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on staff.
• Shift Structure:
  • Day Shift (7 AM – 7 PM) staffed with 1 physician & 1 APP.
  • Night Shift (7 PM – 7 AM) staffed with 1 nocturnist physician & 1 APP.
• 144 shifts per year (full-time).
• Average daily patient encounters: 55.
• Average daily admissions at Marion campus: 11.
• Referral base: ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers.
• Subspecialty support: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Neurology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Colorectal Surgery, and more.
