Viwinco has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team!
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process optimization, efficiency improvements, and product quality enhancements within our production environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting SQDC improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing principles, and strategic process advancements to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment, collaborates effectively across teams, and applies data-driven problem-solving to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Assist in the selection, installation, and validation of new manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Apply root cause analysis and corrective action strategies to resolve production issues.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Validate processes through experimentation, simulation, and mockups.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
- Support the manufacturing launch of new or revised products, including documentation, training, and tooling/equipment acquisition.
- Assist with machinery layout and equipment design to improve production efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and document findings to support process enhancements.
- Participate in safety, quality, and process improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
- Engage in Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support overall operational goals.
- Create and present visualizations and process data for real-time shop floor insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, flow, layout, and production equipment.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), manufacturing software, and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to process improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
