Position Overview

The Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, developing cutting-edge polymer-based products, and improving overall production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a background in polymer processing, and hands-on experience with 3D design tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This role involves working cross-functionally with design, operations, and R&D teams to drive innovation and ensure the highest quality standards in production.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and enhance composite manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product performance.
  2. Utilize advanced analytical and simulation techniques to drive data-based design decisions.
  3. Lead trials, sample material evaluations, and process validation to support product development initiatives.
  4. Identify and implement solutions for manufacturing challenges by leveraging experimental data and industry best practices.
  5. Support intellectual property development by contributing innovative solutions in polymer processing and product design.
  6. Design, test, and integrate polymer-based materials and equipment for new and existing product lines.
  7. Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Maintain familiarity with advanced polymer processing techniques, including injection molding, extrusion, pultrusion, or fiberglass/resin production.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or Product Design Engineering preferred.
  2. 2-4+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering, with a focus on polymer-based products.
  3. Expertise in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  4. Strong analytical skills with experience in FEA and other simulation methods.
  5. Familiarity with Six Sigma principles and design of experiments (DOE) is a plus.
  6. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented and self-disciplined approach.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  1. Experience in composite material manufacturing and polymer processing.
  2. Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and work on multiple projects efficiently.
  3. Hands-on experience in a construction, manufacturing, or R&D setting.
