Job Description

The Part Time Custodian performs general cleaning activities and special project set ups and summer assignments. Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturday 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Main Duties:

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, equipment and materials of custodial functions. Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment.
• Perform floor care duties such as buffing, waxing and carpet cleaning.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Remove trash and other debris for general custodial duties as well as special projects, such as moving furniture.
• Perform set ups and break downs of scheduled events as per work orders.
• Reports supply orders to Custodial Supervisor.
• Reports needs for minor repairs to Custodian Supervisor.
• Be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure you and your team members are free from injury.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic custodial cleaning.
• Some experience with stripping, waxing and shampooing, etc.
• Be able to work independently and with the team; take direction and follow through.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous custodial experience preferred.

Salary: $16.00 per hour
