Locum job openingSeeking a board certified or truly board eligible NP/PAMust have previous CT surgery experienceThis is a needed position for scrubbing for CT Surgery as a First AssistThe need is due to vacancy as well as a provider out on FMLAAPP would need to be able to endoscopic vein harvestingWill consider provider who can only do weekendsMon-Fri 7a-6p then night call 6p-7a. Weekend call 7a-7a with rounding approx. 10a-4pScheduled surgical cases and rotating on call for emergency off hours cases.Those of the provider level would be expected to round and see patients in the hospitalSettingThe physicians field all the calls over nightIf cases scheduled, scrub with team; or if scheduled as hospital coverage, print list and discuss with other team members and divide and conquer the patient listDiscuss with physician any issues and sign off for their patientsAVG # of patients per day/night: Varies but minimal and surgeons take overnight first call APP would only be on for emergency surgical call2 floor APPs and 2 surgical APPs. Usually 3-4 here at a timeCase volume: varies but we do 1-2 cases a day throughout the weekWeekend call varies but they try to stick to a rotationProcedures: CABG, Thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, Aortic casesEMR: Cerner and EPICAllow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
