As we scale to capture our explosive deal pipeline, we're seeking an exceptional Head of Sales to build and lead our sales organization during this pivotal growth phase.

Position Overview

The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing LlamaLab's sales strategy, building a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth across our target markets. This role will report directly to the CEO and serve as a key member of the executive team, helping to shape the company's overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and market opportunities
  • Build and scale an effective sales organization, including defining roles, territories, quotas, and compensation structures
  • Establish and refine sales processes, methodologies, and playbooks to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and manage sales forecasts, metrics, and reporting to track performance and drive accountability
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate key accounts

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team
  • Develop and implement sales training programs focused on our unique value proposition in legal tech
  • Establish a performance-oriented culture with clear goals, metrics, and incentives
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and seamless customer experience

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as a thought leader and key executive presence with major accounts and at industry events
  • Develop deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and buying processes in the legal sector
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers at target law firms
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities
  • Participate in high-value sales cycles and bring deals to successful close

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop and implement strategies for growing average contract value and reducing sales cycles
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities to accelerate market penetration
  • Collaborate with product team to ensure product roadmap aligns with market needs and sales opportunities
  • Work with customer success to ensure high retention rates and expansion opportunities

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in SaaS, legal tech, or related industries
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets and scaling sales organizations
  • Experience selling to law firms or legal departments highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of consultative and value-based selling methodologies
  • Experience building and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into executable plans
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

Desired Attributes

  • Experience in legal technology, document management, or workflow automation
  • Knowledge of personal injury, medical malpractice, or workers' compensation legal practice
  • Understanding of AI/ML applications in business context
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales operations, and pipeline management tools
  • History of successfully navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Track record of selling SaaS solutions with contract values of $50K+ annually

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary: $140,000 - $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
