OverviewZen Educate is seeking part-time Teacher Aides/Assistants to support licensed teachers in K-12 classrooms. In this flexible role, you'll help with daily classroom activities, material preparation, and student engagement—working in both one-on-one and small group settings. * Assist licensed staff in implementing academic adaptations and individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Work individually or in small groups to support students' self-care and social/behavioral needs.
* Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Provide timely support to students in crisis situations.
* Utilize various learning methods to tailor support to each student's needs.Must-Have Qualifications
* Education:
* 60 college credits or higher, OR one of the following:
* A passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment (65%+ on the Instructional Support test and 70%+ on the Knowledge and Application test)
* A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (combined score of 460 or above)
* Language & Authorization:
* Professional proficiency in English
* U.S. Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance)
* Experience:
* At least 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting (e.g., school, daycare, volunteer program)Preferred Qualifications
* ParaPro Certification (upskilling options provided on a case-by-case basis for candidates without the standard educational background)
* Experience working in special education settings or familiarity with IEPs
* Experience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA is a plusCompensation & Benefits
* Pay: $18 - $22 per hour, paid weekly
* Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm (Monday to Friday, no weekend work)
