Position Summary: The Registrar is responsible for organizing and coordinatingoffice operations and procedures in order to ensure organizationaleffectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications: The Registrar must have a minimum of a high school diploma orequivalent and must have effective communication, organizational and computerskills including word processing, spreadsheets and email.

- General Responsibilities
1. Answering phones (Patients, Doctorsand Billing Dept.)
2. Register patients (Chart, InsightEMR and Spreadsheets)
3. Superbills (Print, Review Info andCollect)
4. Filing / Scanning (Charts,Paperwork etc.)
5. Daily reports and billing emails
6. Communication (Patients and Staff)
7. Transportation (Log and Calls)
8. Co-pay (Log and Safekeeping)
- Verifying patient"'s Benefits andEligibility
- Obtaining authorization (Chart,Insight EMR and Spreadsheet)
- Monitor pending authorizationstatus via payer calls
- Plan of Care Medicare faxing /Spreadsheet
- Calling (Appointment Book, CallingList and No-Show Report)
- Statistics "" Daily reports andspreadsheets)
- Scanning (New Patients,Authorization, Referrals, POC, Superbills etc.)
- Communication with referringproviders and marketing team
- EMR Data entry for the followinginformation

- Participates the activitiesperformed by the business, including implementing procedures, recordsmanagement.
- Accepts incoming and outgoingcalls, maintains accurate messages and disseminates same. Reviews, sorts anddelivers mail to the appropriate staff member
- Serves as the point of contact forinformation concerning activities of the office.
- Performs special projects asrequired.
Team Dynamics:
- Effectively communicates with staffto accomplish goals and objectives.
- Effective use company email withstaff to accomplish goals and objectives
- Creates a work atmosphere thatpromotes cooperation, respect, flexibility and teamwork amongst peers andstaff.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Follow all established safetyprocedures and precautions when operating equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions orbreakdowns to the program manager as soon as possible.
- Report all unsafe/hazardousconditions to the program manager immediately.
Customer Service:
- Maintains an adequate liaison withclients and staff.
- Demonstrates awareness, respect andconcern for internal customers (coworkers) and external customers (i.e.patients, residents, families, physicians, referral sources)
Patient"'s Rights:
- Maintains confidentiality of allPatient"'s/Client"'s information to assure Patient"'s/Client"'s rights areprotected.
Attendance:
- Observes rules, policies andregulations with regard to attendance, punctuality, appearance and professionalattitude as established by the organization.
- Due to the nature of the industry,many of our programs offer seven (7) day a week services. Accordingly, you maybe asked to work weekends as part of your scheduled work week
Miscellaneous:
- Conforms to the HIPAA ComplianceProgram and applicable facility policies for patient privacy.
- Conforms to security policies andprocedures.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to Sit, Stand, bend,lift and move intermittently throughout the day.
- Must pass Medical and Physical examinationbased on job qualifications, requirements and duties/responsibilities.
Mental Demands:
- Must be able to work independentlywith periodic (daily or less) support and direction.
Cognitive Demands:
- Mustbe able to shift attention and task performance based on priorities.
- Mustbe able to work in a distractible and stimulating environment.
- Mustbe able to read, understand, and comply with policy and procedures.
- Musthave effective verbal and written communication skills.
Sensory Demands:
- Must have visual, hearing andsensory skills adequate to preserve patient and personal safety.
