TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position. March 31 - May 09, 2025 (FULL TIME) In-person interviews will be held on the morning of Saturday, February 15, 2025.

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Electrical Coordinator in the execution of electrical distribution tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the installation, maintenance, removal, and storage of electrical inventory and equipment. Ensure that all electrical work adheres to the National Electrical Code and department standards. Facilitate interdepartmental communication regarding electrical power requirements. Participate in AMP readings and ensure accurate readings during events. Be on standby during events. Utilize the Absentee Request Form for accurate absenteeism reporting to the Festival Finance Office. Maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive matters. Surrender any documents, computer programs, designs, or intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (which belongs to the Festival) to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the conclusion of each production year or upon request. Attend and successfully complete any mandatory training. Submit all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the HR Office. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues. Must attend and complete any required training. Any document, computer program, design or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Jazz Festival and must be given to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request. Must complete all required Feedback Forms and Final reports Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Possess an Electrical Engineer Degree or Certified Electrician Skills. A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling temporary electrical distribution for special events. Proficient understanding of electrical requirements for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival or similar large event layouts. Ability to engage in heavy lifting and strenuous physical exertion. Endurance for extended hours in a dynamic, high-pressure production environment with the flexibility to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
