Commercial Journeyman Electrician

with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems in a commercial environment, focusing on automation systems (PLCs), machinery, and various voltage systems, including 480V, 240V, 120V AC, and 24V DC. This role requires expertise in electrical diagnostics, a strong understanding of commercial systems, and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting: · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems (PLC-based equipment). · Perform machinery diagnostics and repair to ensure optimal operation. · Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including 480V, 240V, 120V AC, and 24V DC systems. · Ensure timely identification and resolution of electrical issues to minimize downtime. System Installation and Configuration: · Install and configure wiring, control panels, and electrical components for commercial machinery and systems. · Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. · Perform updates and upgrades to electrical systems as required. Compliance and Safety: · Adhere to NEC - OSHA - NFPA 70E and local electrical codes and standards. · Follow safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment. · Perform regular inspections to ensure electrical systems meet compliance standards. Collaboration and Documentation: · Work with other trades and departments to complete commercial projects. · Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and system upgrades. · Provide feedback and suggestions for improving system efficiency and safety.

Requirements Qualifications: Education and Certification: · High school diploma or equivalent (required). · Valid Journeyman Electrician License in TEXAS. · Additional training or certification in PLC systems and automation (preferred). Experience: · Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician. · Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting, automation systems, and machinery maintenance. · Strong knowledge of 480V, 240V, 120V AC, and 24V DC systems. Skills and Abilities: · Proficient in diagnosing and repairing automation and control systems. · Skilled in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools. · Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks. · Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
