The Freeman Corporation is one of the largest and most progressive veneer manufacturers in North America. We continue to invest heavily to be the supplier of choice to the top producers worldwide of flooring, doors, hardwood plywood, furniture, cabinets, and other industries. At this facility we employ approximately 200 people.
We're seeking skilled Industrial Electricians to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Positions are available on first and second shifts. The ideal applicant must have good communication and people skills, experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, and possess mechanical and electrical knowledge. Salary commensurate with skills, experience, and potential.
POSITION SUMMARY
As an Industrial Electrician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our electrical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. You'll troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, install new components, and contribute to preventive maintenance programs. This position requires a strong understanding of PLC usage, electrical circuits, and industrial automation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components such as motors, sensors, transformers, and circuit breakers.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLC’s, Frequency Drives and related electronic hardware.
Install and maintain conduit systems, wiring, and control panels.
Use wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
Make proper use of tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers and screw drivers, splice wires and install conduit, panel boards, switch boxes, motors and drives and other electrical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify and resolve electrical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in PLC programming, electrical circuits, schematics, and servo motors.
Experience with 460V 3-phase wiring and industrial automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
High school diploma or GED and preferably 5 years of related experience.
Fluently read and speak English.
