School Psychologist

that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.

Job Description: Openings from TK - Middle School. Contract through the 2025/2026 school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar. Pay: $3,200.00 - $3,600.00 total per week. 1099 contractor. Qualifications: Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling. Active license in the state of California for School Psychology. Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations; experience in school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Essential Functions: Provide evaluation, consultative, and counseling services in the school setting for initial psychological assessment and for reevaluation of children in special education programs. Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and lead the multidisciplinary team in the process of identifying students with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders. Communicate psychological assessment results and recommendations both verbally and through written reports. Participate in eligibility and program decisions in meeting the needs of students with disabilities. Participate in and contribute to professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
