Novastone Capital Advisors (NCA) runs a global Operator-Led Search Fund program, helping mid-career professionals to identify, acquire, grow, and exit established small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) typically faced with succession challenges. NCA is seeking a highly independent and results-driven business development professional to spearhead fundraising efforts across North America. As we launch our Direct Investment Program (DIP), we aim to attract individual investors and expand our investor portfolio. In this role, you will take full ownership of investor acquisition, relationship management, and engagement strategies. You will drive investor communication strategy, organize exclusive events, and lead cross-functional initiatives that effectively position NCA’s value proposition in the investment landscape. Main Responsibilities Investor Acquisition & Relationship Management Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) to secure investments in NCA’s Direct Investment Program (DIP). Leverage personal networks, industry connections, and targeted outreach to expand the investor pipeline. Organize and participate in exclusive investor events, private meetings, and networking opportunities to foster long-term partnerships. Develop personalized investment pitches and communication strategies tailored to different investor profiles. Maintain ongoing relationships with investors, ensuring consistent engagement, regular communication, and trust-building. Act as a primary point of contact for investors, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering personalized support to enhance their overall experience. Maintain a robust investor relations management system to track and analyze interactions, ensuring continuous improvement in engagement strategies. Independently drive the full fundraising process. Design and refine fundraising strategies to optimize investor acquisition and retention. Contribute to overall investor communication (reports, networking, presentations, etc.) Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling investment materials and enhance the overall investor experience. Monitor market trends, competitor fundraising approaches, and investor preferences to continuously refine outreach tactics. Maintain accurate investor records, track engagement metrics, and provide strategic insights to leadership. Ensure confidentiality and compliance across all interactions. Provide leadership with strategic updates on fundraising performance and investor engagement. Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. Proven fundraising experience, successfully raising capital from HNWIs or institutional investors. At least 7 years of experience in business development or investor relations at a PE fund, VC firm, asset manager, hedge fund, or similar. Strong networking and deal-closing skills. Independent and strategic thinker, driving end-to-end fundraising. Deep investor and market knowledge. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ownership mindset, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Experience in investor communications, cap table management. Analytical and results driven.
