within the Student Services division of Chester County Intermediate Unit to support students enrolled at the CHAAMP program.
Communities Helping Adolescents with Autism Make Progress
(CHAAMP) is an applied behavior analysis instructional program designed to prepare students with an autism spectrum disorder for greater independence. The CHAAMP program is an innovative, community-based program in which students with autism use the community as their classroom. Students ages 14-21 with moderate to severe autism work with specialized staff to build the skills to transition from school to independent, adult life. The goal at CHAAMP is to help students become fully participating members of the local Chester County community. CHAAMP supports functional academics, community living, independent living, recreation/leisure skills and pre-vocational training. CHAAMP offers a 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio and 1:1 behavior mentor-to-student ratio.

Qualifications: Valid PA Certification in
Special Education N-12 or 7-12
required 3-5 years of Autism and ABA experience preferred Experience with designing community-based programming preferred CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of election; De-escalation and restraint training required within the first 3 months of employment Current child abuse, criminal history, and FBI Fingerprint clearance Clearance as an MA provider by the federal government and commonwealth of PA (conducted by the CCIU upon hire) Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and directing a behavioral model for the students at the CHAAMP Program, a secondary transition program for students with moderate to severe autism. Use principles of applied behavior analysis to promote positive behaviors as developed in student's IEP. Implement community-based programming with a focus on prevocational skills, daily living skills, and recreation and leisure activities.
Salary 2024-25 school year:
$56,355 to $87,396 - Instructional I Certification $58,814 to $90,897 - Instructional II Certification $62,567 to $99,261 - Master's Degree $66,706 to $105,039 - Masters + 30
