BASIC FUNCTION:
Provideadmissions counseling for prospective students and their parents throughtravel, campus visits, academic/career advising and provide initial and follow-up communication through various channels. Organize and conduct special events for prospective, incoming new or returning students andtheir families.

Startingsalary of $37,600 to $45,200 based on experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree with a minimum of two years of experience in college admissions, counseling, communications or marketing/public relations required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the institution. Excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will include evening work, weekend responsibilities, and travel throughout Minnesota and Iowa.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and/or community college experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Provide admissions counseling and enrollment advising for prospective students and their parents, including the college admission process, financial aid and scholarships. • Collaborate with Academic Advisors to provide academic advising to prospective students in course selection toward academic program completion. • Conduct visits to high schools and career and college fairs as assigned. • Provide follow-up communication with prospective and incoming new and returning students including written correspondence/print materials, phone contacts, and email in coordination with the communication plan and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). • Coordinate campus events and group tours for middle, high school, and adult students. • Report outcomes to Admissions team and administration. • Complete assigned projects with minimum supervision ensuring all deadlines are met. • Represent NIACC positively at high schools, promotional events, and in the community. • Establish positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and other key influencers. • Work across Student Development, specifically collaboration, support, and cross training with the College and Career Transition Counselors and Academic Advising team, as needed for enrollment growth. • Maintain strong organizational skills, demonstrate reliability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Fulfill other responsibilities as needed or assigned. Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
