DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!

The Phillip Charles Group has been servicing the local metro Detroit area for the past 30 years and has built incredibly strong partnerships with our clients, candidates, and employees. We have worked with our current client for the past 15 years and are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for a DIRECT HIRE position in Saline, MI.

Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise about 5-10 employees
  • Coach and assist employees
  • Make sure employees adhere to daily work procedures
  • Keep accurate inventory records in spreadsheets and WMS as needed
  • Report on KPIs related to your job duties
  • Ship and receive parts as needed
  • Receive and move parts needed for assembly lines
  • Write, lead and train employees in Standard Job Instruction Sheets job tasks
  • Maintain Standard Job Instruction Sheets as needed
  • Look for areas that could use improvement and offer suggestions
  • Ensure all safety and cleaning procedures are being followed
  • Stay up to date with the production’s conveyance schedules

Hours: 7:30am- 3:30pm Monday- Friday may have mandatory OT

Travel: 0 to 25%

Warehouse Supervisor Skills:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and maintaining a positive work environment. Skilled in conflict resolution, employee development, and performance management.
  • Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to effectively manage inventory, track shipments, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions to resolve operational challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records, oversee quality control processes, and ensure all inventory is stored, tracked, and shipped according to company standards.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Proficient in using WMS software and other warehouse tools to streamline processes.
  • Safety and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Ability to train and enforce safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Forklift and Equipment Operation: Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Ability to train and oversee staff in the proper use of machinery.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and respond to the evolving needs of the warehouse and the business.
