Lakeside Book Company offers an incredible opportunity for growth, learning, experience, and promotion. We are looking for a forklift operator to support our growing business and our growing customers. As the largest book manufacturer in the United States, you will help to put books in the hands of readers across the country.
Starting Rate: $17.00 to $19.55 depending upon experience
Work Hours: Days, 6:30a-3:00p
Location: 1799 Highway 50 East, Linn, MO 65051
As a Forklift Driver, you will:
- Operate a forklift, reach truck, or bendy to move finished products to and from equipment and within a warehouse.
- Load and unload semi-trailer trucks.
- Perform safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
- Manage inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Organize and assign space to best utilize warehouse and in-process materials.
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
- Receive training to help advance your career.
Qualifications:
- Experience in operating all facets of a forklift and/or a reach truck.
- Strong spatial ability and judgment.
- Ability to recognize and maintain forklift load balance.
- Ability to internalize storage area layout to be able to find and place items.
- Ability to drive equipment safely in close quarters.
- Ability to exert 35-50 lbs of force occasionally, 15 to 35 lbs of force routinely.
- Ability to learn to use a warehouse management system.
