About The Position

A hospital is seeking an Inpatient and Outpatient Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Hannibal, MO.
This opportunity offers a mix of clinic and hospital settings. In the clinic, the daily patient load ranges from 15-25, with 20-25 scopes performed weekly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, typically divided into three clinic days and two procedural days. The call schedule aligns with the hospital's call schedule, handling inpatient calls during clinic hours (8 AM to 5 PM).

In the hospital, the schedule is as needed during the week while in the clinic, with a call schedule of 7 AM to 7 AM, Monday through Sunday. Rounding is required when consulted, with an average of 0.5-1 consults per day. Required cases include basic GI, with ERCP preferred. The clinic's daily case load includes 15-25 patients and 10-12 procedures, supported by a team of two nurses and one scheduler.
