Renewable Energy Procurement Manager
Join our dedicated team that is at the forefront of the clean energy movement! We are looking for a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, negotiations, and the effective management of supply chains for our large-scale solar energy projects. Your role is vital in optimizing project costs, ensuring efficient procurement processes, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the sourcing process from Request for Information (RFI) to successful contract execution.
Develop Request for Proposals (RFPs), coordinate bid schedules, and assess vendor submissions.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply chains.
Negotiate advantageous contracts with suppliers, with a focus on pricing optimization, risk management, and adherence to quality standards.
Evaluate potential EPC and equipment suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, substations, and related components.
Analyze market trends and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry procurement standards.
Implement effective quality control measures and proactively resolve supplier-related issues.
Manage all aspects of contract administration, including change management and dispute resolution.
What You Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications are advantageous).
5+ years of experience in procurement, EPC contracting, or supply chain management, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
Proven negotiation skills, emphasizing sustainability and effective risk management.
Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (experience with Procore is a plus) along with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
A collaborative work ethic, combined with the ability to operate independently while promoting transparency.
Willingness to travel domestically as needed (less than 10%).
