Job Description
Position Summary
Maintain the proper distribution and processing of incoming and outgoing mail. Scanning and processing of medical records, invoices and authorizations and other correspondence into ReleasePoint database.
Essential Functions
Provides day-to-day nationwide mail service, including delivering mail, office mail, and medical and health records Collects and sorts incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail Scan medical records and upload digital media into the Omnis system Log and scan in authorization requests, invoices and bad addresses Print checks and correspondence for mail out Maintain control of confidential records until ready for shredding Maintain appropriate stock of supplies for the operation of the mail center Respond to and initiate inter-office communication as needed Occasional communication with medical providers, shipping/mail carriers, and companies that service the mail center Serve as phone receptionist for all incoming ReleasePoint calls Operates mail service equipment: postage, scanner, folding and fax machines Open envelopes by hand and seals envelopes by hand or machine Fold letters and insert in envelopes by hand or machine Weigh mail to determine correct postage Represent ReleasePoint when signature is required Requirements
Qualifications
Able to complete simple mail related forms Must know how to plan and prioritize work Able to communicate in a clear manner Must be detail oriented Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to use computer with Windows operating system, including MS office applications, electronic mail, and internet Possession of a valid state driver's license Education
High School diploma or equivalent Experience
One year of experience in mailroom, clerical, or office experience Mental Demands
Able to work under pressure to meet daily work load Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information Comply with HIPPA requirements Physical Demands
Ability to sit for extended periods of time Be able to safely lift and carry office supplies and mail received Requires repetitive wrist/finger motions at computer keyboard Hearing and speaking on the telephone Visual Demands
