Job Description
Manage and oversee the daily operations of corporate accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger, and retail accounting.
- Ensure monthly closings are done timely and accurately.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are done timely and accurately.
- Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, + 3 or more years’ work experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with accounting software and databases.
- Superior data management and data analysis skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
- Strong experience managing and mentoring staff.
- Strong experience with Full-Cycle accounting.
- Efficient in PDI or other ERP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with advanced Excel skills required.
- Point of Sale Transaction experience a plus.

Education
The position requires the following educational experience:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, finance, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Work Environment
- Work is performed primarily inside a climate-controlled office space. Occasionally there will be travel and may work in an outdoor environment.
