Founding AI Engineer / LLM / NLP

A fast-growing Insurtech startup leveraging cutting-edge AI, NLP, and LLM technologies is looking for someone to join their team as their Founding Engineer. Their goal is to revolutionize the insurance industry by streamlining insurance workflows, enhancing risk assessment, and providing policyholders with smarter, faster, and more personalized experiences. As our Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology stack, driving architecture decisions, and building a scalable platform from the ground up. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy working across the stack, and have a strong AI/ML background, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, software engineering, or a related role. Experience with data engineering pipelines (Airflow, Spark, Kafka, etc.). Deep knowledge of NLP, LLMs (GPT, BERT, or similar), and AI model deployment. Expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar). Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and DevOps automation.

Desired Skills & Experience

Passion for working in an early-stage startup, wearing multiple hats, and making things happen. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make trade-off decisions in a fast-moving environment. Exposure to vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) for NLP applications. Experience working with MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Sagemaker, etc.). Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects.
