Job Summary:
Pembroke Hill seeks a Dean of Curriculum & Instruction for the 2025-26 school year. The Dean will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum, grades early years – 12. Additionally, they support achieving and maintaining standards of excellence in instructional practices and assigned curricular areas to improve student learning opportunities. Qualifications and Requirements: Master’s degree in education or an education-related field Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience in a K – 12 setting Previous experience as an educational administrator preferred Demonstrates the knowledge and skills of an experienced teacher and educational leader Excellent written and oral communication skills, emphasizing presentation skills, interpersonal rapport, and confidence in communication with the full constituency of the organization (including board, faculty, students, parents, colleagues, volunteers, and community contacts) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills; able to manage and motivate others Able to work occasional evenings and weekends Key Responsibilities: Support Curriculum Development, Implementation and Evaluation Support Instruction and Professional Development Lead the planning and implementation of the annual Unconference (the PHS faculty and staff full day conference) Oversee the Professional Learning Partnership (the PHS faculty and staff professional growth program) Classroom Observation, Feedback and Support Faculty Development and Mentorship Curriculum Development and Alignment Collaborate with division heads and assistant division heads regarding the allocation of curricular funds Proactively develop relationships and partnerships with parents/guardians to establish goodwill and shared vision Schedule:
This is a year-round position. During the school year, there are three school vacations – three days at Thanksgiving, two weeks in December, and two weeks in March – plus paid time off and sick days. Summer schedule includes half days on Fridays. Compensation:
Compensation will be based on a competitive norm influenced by area and peer schools, using years of teaching experience and the highest completed degree. Transcripts and verification of employment will be required.
