The Opportunity: This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned and accomplished professional to take the next step in their leadership journey, guiding a mission-driven Alliance that supports a network of 25 YMCAs across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will join an Alliance with a dedicated staff and volunteer team, all committed to strengthening local YMCAs and expanding their impact within the communities they serve. We are seeking an innovative, strategic, and community-oriented leader to serve as the next CEO. This individual will foster trust among stakeholders, cultivate collaboration, and drive initiatives that enhance the reputation and influence of YMCAs within the Alliance, ensuring their continued success in delivering on their mission. Alliance Mission: To support, educate, and inspire collaboration amongst the YMCAs in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont to increase and strengthen our impact and advocate for positive change. Alliance Vision: A visionary and unified Alliance of YMCAs leading change, supporting impactful leaders, and developing healthier communities. Criteria for candidates: 1. Accredited 4-year college degree and or equivalent work experience. 2. Fiscally sound business and organizational management with a proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management more than $1M or more annually. 3. Minimum five years prior experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees. 4. Demonstrated strong project management skills with a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and effective communication to successfully navigate project constraints and deliver desired outcomes.
