Stuarts Draft Retirement Community is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Activities Coordinator to plan and implement engaging programs for our residents. This role will oversee activities at both Stuarts Draft Retirement Community (SDRC) and The Village at Mint Spring, ensuring a vibrant and fulfilling social experience for our senior community.

Compensation:

$17.25 - $18.25 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize activities, events, and social programs for residents in both communities.
  • Maintain and enhance the well-established activities calendar at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community
  • Develop and launch a brand-new activities calendar at The Village at Mint Spring, utilizing Stuarts Draft Retirement Community resources, new ideas, and resident feedback.
  • Coordinate schedules between the two communities to optimize participation and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with activities.
  • Effectively communicate events and schedules to residents, families, and staff using newsletters, calendars, bulletin boards, and digital updates.
  • Foster a sense of community by encouraging resident involvement and engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in event planning, recreation, senior activities, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure residents, families, and staff are informed and engaged.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for enhancing the lives of senior residents through meaningful activities.
