Position Title: Campus Safety Monitor (CSM)

Salary Schedule: Hourly
Work Days: School Hours, 190 Days

Essential Duties:
- Maintain an ongoing review of the physical security of the assigned school location.
- Assist building administrators with the continuous monitoring of the school campus.
- Assist with the supervision of students during transitions in the hallways.
- Alert building administrators of any safety and security concerns throughout the school day.
- Conduct school facility security vulnerability assessments and make suggestions to school administrators.
- Maintain continuous indoor and outdoor monitoring of the school property.
- Monitor to ensure the exterior school doors are secure during the school day.
- Monitor hallways to meet the expectations of building administrators.
- Appropriately monitor restrooms throughout the school day according to set guidelines.
- Attend and participate in training workshops by the District Safety and Security Director.
- Maintain confidentiality of all school information concerning students, staff, and school business.
- Attend faculty meetings and other meetings as required by school administrator.
- Demonstrate positive working relationships with the students, building administration team, building staff, and community stakeholders.
- Assist with the management of car and bus traffic.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required.
- Ability to work late nights and some weekends.
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
